Meet Your 2020
Director of Hospitality, Tourism, and Sport Candidate
Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, I have found myself converted into a Niagara native. This region has not only become my home, but has also become my passion. Prior to moving here, I had no clue I’d be destined for a future in our stunning, world-class wine industry. The world of wine is a story of several countries and several cultures, which is why I’m so excited and honored to be studying Tourism Business at Niagara College.
After having managed a production facility in Toronto for several years, I felt my home calling me back, and being able to work at the winery, brewery and study simultaneously has been incredibly rewarding. I have travelled to many wine producing countries and tried many different wines, but always find myself back in the Niagara aisle at the LCBO! In addition to wine and travel, I’m an avid skier, hitting the slopes whenever I can, wherever that may be. I’ve been fortunate in being able to ski some of the largest mountains in the world, further adding to my passion for travel and arming me with knowledge for my classes. I have really enjoyed my studies here at Niagara, but my biggest joy has been helping my fellow classmates. Using my experience as a leader and knowledge and experience from travelling, it brings me great pride helping my friends succeed, and I’ve been happily overwhelmed by the array of cultures I’ve been exposed to from my international classmates. In my spare time I also enjoy reading, playing soccer, cooking, camping, hiking and spending time with friends and family (who live all over the globe!). I love being a part of the Niagara College family, and I look forward to shaping my future here, side by side with all students and staff.
