ROBERTO
VILLAO
School of Business & Management Candidate
NC Board of Governors Student Rep Candidate
Hi knights! My name is Roberto Villao, and I’m running to be your next director of the School of Business and Management. I'm an International Student from Ecuador at the DJP campus and I am currently in my second year of the Honours Bachelor in Business Administration: ICOM program.
Social service has always been part of my DNA. I had the opportunity to promote different sociocultural activities in my previous educational institution where I had the chance to be 5 times president of my class and vice president of the student council. My passion for helping others in my country did not stop because of migrating, since I still collaborate in different online projects at the International Human Rights Observatory Center, Ecuador. Just like you, I am a person who enjoys free time, in which I like to cook, play the piano, go to the gym, but above all, watch and play soccer. Watching rather than playing because I'm not that skilled with the ball. That’s why, by being part of these activities that I carry out in my free time, I have been able to appreciate and highlight the important cultural integration that is experienced every day on campus.
I have something clear about my future , and it is that I want to share all the knowledge I've gathered during my life with the people who need it, to make the planet a better place for us . This is why I am running for Director of Business and management and Student Representative. Because I want all your ideas, your needs and queries to be carried out with the right people to make your days on campus better. Because I believe that it is time for us to be truly heard and represented.
Dear colleagues, I want to remind you that you can always count on me, because you will alway find in me that friend that will be willing to raise your concerns and be your voice.
It's time to rewrite our history, it's time to be heard!
