Candidate Bio: 

 My guiding word for the year is community, and that is why I want to be the next Director for the School of Business and Management. My name is Sharina, I want to fight for a better community.

As an immigrant and disabled student, I know that having your needs supported makes the difference on whether or not you’ll succeed. I have to advocate for myself to get my needs supported and I know that I can be that advocate for you. I want to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, gets the support they need. 

​

I want each student’s time here to be something they would be proud of because it prepared them for life after graduation. In order to do that, students deserve a simpler process to access available support and resources, more professional development opportunities that prepare them for the competitive job market, and tangible proof that this community, our community cares about them not just as students, but as people.

I’m Sharina and I am ready to fight for students.
