Hi, I’m Darlington Nwachukwu, a Carpentry and Renovation student at Niagara College, and I’m running for Director (School of Trades) because I believe every student should feel included and heard.
I have been actively involved in student leadership as the President of the Black Student Association, where I developed strong skills in communication, advocacy, collaboration, and community building. Through organizing events and representing diverse student voices, I’ve learned the importance of listening, inclusivity, and meaningful action.
These experiences have shaped my commitment to service and leadership.
When I’m not studying or working with student groups, you’ll often find me dancing or playing tennis. Both help me stay active and connected with others.
I want to help improve student support services, and overall campus life, especially for Trades students, such as:
1. Advocacy: Student Complaint Response Unit (SCRU)
2. Networking: Student Mentorship and Career Progression
3. Event: Trade Exhibition (Connect students with employers in the trade category), Trade games/sports (Soccer, Badminton, Volleyball), Trade Tour.
5. Education: English Conversion Cycle (ECC)
Your concerns matter. I’m here to take them forward. I will be approachable and open to your ideas.
I’m not just running to lead, I’m running to listen and serve you.

I’d truly appreciate your support. Let’s do this together!
