Hello everyone,

 

First, thank you for taking the time to learn about the election process and participate in your student democratic system. Student leadership only works when students stay engaged, informed, and involved, and your participation is what makes this process meaningful.

 

My name is Hish Clifford, and I'm seeking re-election as the President of the Niagara College Student Administrative Council (NCSAC). I’m seeking your support to serve one more year as President, completing the second and final year permitted under our governance structure.

 

Over the past year, I worked to deliver meaningful improvements to the student experience, expanding scholarships and student supports, advocating for better accessibility on campus, mental health investments, and sustainable initiatives, and I've worked hard to reduce barriers that prevent students from being successful.

 

Beyond campus, I’ve also continued advocating for students at the various government levels, particularly around the affordability of education. I’ve been a strong voice pushing for improvements to OSAP and student financial assistance, because access to education should never be limited by financial barriers.

 

There is still important work ahead of me. Niagara College students continue to face financial pressures, and strong advocacy, both on campus and beyond, is more important than ever. A second term would allow me to build on the progress we’ve made, strengthen student services even further, and continue pushing for improvements that make education more accessible and attainable.

 

If you believe in the work we’ve started and the direction we’re heading, I encourage you to vote YES on the ballot to support my re-election as NCSAC President.
